mapping, cadastre and land registry associations and the
Netherlands’ Cadastre, Land Registry and Mapping Agency
Kadaster welcome you to the official Common Vision Conference.
This joint conference will be organised for the first time and
will focus on today’s issues regarding the future role of
mapping, cadastre and land registry agencies. Headed by the
overall theme Migration to a Smart World,topics such asmarine
cadastre, interoperability,smart cities, location
infrastructure, interconnection of land registers, big data and
3D will be addressed. Maximum 50 Young Surveyors are able to participate in this meeting |

Chair: Carline Amsing Our keynote speakers will take you on a journey to the developing world. You will hear about the challenges we have to face and solve within our generation. The speakers will share their ideas on poverty alleviation through Fit For Purpose approaches and will invite you to think further by showing you possibilities to take up your role in facing these challenges.

Chair: Jochgem Gunneman Now that you have found your soul mate during the Icebreaker & Coffee Break, let’s get updated on the newest geotechnology in a Smart World. New technologies are, and will be, used widely in the near future. We, as YS, have to be pioneers of innovation. New technologies support development but also raise issues concerning privacy and legislation.

Chair: Edgar Barreira To become the best, learn from the best. Progressive influential organizations and institutions will share what makes them the best. It is a unique opportunity to engage with an extensive network of leaders, experts and executives from the public and private sector. Lively discussion will take place to address state – of the art in the field of geoinformation. It is an opportunity to learn what is most needed on the ground and be informed about the latest technological developments in the geoinformation discipline.

Chair: Yarryd Cappuyns 3 young surveying entrepreneurs will talk about the lessons learned and their own experiences by starting their own businesses. They will explain how they manage to move forward and what they expect from their future and upcoming new adventures in the world of entrepreneuership.
In the second part of this session you will be invited to generate your own StartUp. Creativity is a necessity for startups, so during this session you will be invited to get creative and try to generate some new, special ideas. Let’s talk about opportunities, challenges and ideas! A jury will then rate your ideas and the best StartUp will win a price. |

Chair: Carline Amsing During the afternoon we will visit GeoFort, an educational attraction about cartography and navigation in an exciting fortress from the New Dutch Waterline. The GeoExperience will get you up-to-date with old and new techniques in the geo-information field. A workshop will be held and the Netherlands' Cadastre Land Registry and Mapping Agency will conclude the meeting with a presentation. [handouts] |
